All pieces are microwave safe, but for maximum use and enjoyment, it is recommended that this finely crafted earthenware pottery be hand washed.  All materials are lead free. All work is hand made with earthenware clay. A maiolica glaze is applied to the bisque ware and then each piece is individually hand painted in bold and lively floral patterns with ceramic stains and oxides. Most of the work is thrown, other pieces such as the square plates and vases are handbuilt.

Work is available in the following three patterns:

Crocus

Comes in a variety of colours, ranging from yellow, light blue, dark blue, purple, and pink. The only colour not used as a background colour is dark blue.

Funky Springtime

Pink flower center, green leaves, with a yellow, blue or purple background.

Periwinkle

Sapphire blue flower on a yellow background.

Janet's work is an ongoing process in which the work changes and evolves. Changes in shape, colour and decoration are sometimes subtle and sometimes not so subtle. Janet strives for consistancy but changes occur; it is part of the evolution and the creative process. Major changes will be communicated as they become apparent.

All the stains and oxide are lead free. The work is safe and quite durable for everyday use. Hand washing is recommended.
